A. We want you to be comfortable while you’re learning to dance. You may come dressed in whatever you consider that to be. Most people come in jeans. Shoes are more important. You must bring a pair of clean dry shoes to change into before entering the dance area. Shoes with a back, smooth bottoms and lower heels are preferable for ease of movement.
Spiked heels are not allowed on the dance floor.
Q.What are my options if I dont have a partner?
A. There are monthly dances at the El Riad Shrine that include a short lesson. You do not need a partner to attend these lessons and dances. The dances are open to the public. You can find more information at www.BallroomDanceClubSF.org.
Q.Do I need to pre-register?If so, how do I register?
A. Group classes are limited so pre-registration is recommended to ensure a spot in class. Drop-ins will be accepted only if the class is not full. Everyone is welcome at our open dances without pre-registration. Simply show up and pay at the door.. To register for a group class email DateNightDance@gmail.com or call us at 605-338-3685.
Q. Can anyone attend the weekend Open Dances or do I need to be taking a class?
A. Open Dances are open to the public and no dance experience is needed. Open dances are learning experiences with at least the basic step taught to each dance.
